Privacy Policy

not tonight. (“we”, “us”) takes privacy seriously — especially because the data you log here is personal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect
- Account data — name and email, managed by Clerk (our auth provider). We do not store passwords.
- Log entries — date, intimacy outcome, selected reasons, quality ratings, mood and stress levels, lifestyle flags (exercise, alcohol, travel, conflict, illness), and any free-text notes you add.
- Cycle & health data — period start/end dates, flow intensity, and symptoms you log. If you connect a health app (Google Fit, Fitbit) or upload an Apple Health export, we import the activity and menstrual data you authorize.
- Partner link — if you invite a partner, their account ID is associated with yours. Partners cannot read each other's raw entries; only shared-view summaries are displayed.
- Approximate location — your city/region to fetch local weather enrichment. We never store precise GPS coordinates.
- Auto-enriched data — moon phase, weather conditions (temperature, precipitation, barometric pressure), and cycle calculations are computed server-side and stored against your entries to power pattern analysis.
- Support conversations — if you contact our AI support chat, the conversation is stored so we can review reported issues. It is never used for training AI models.
- Standard server logs — timestamps, IP addresses, browser type. Retained 30 days then deleted.
How we use it
- To provide the app: calendar, cycle tracking, pattern analysis, and AI insights.
- To send optional email notifications (weekly digest, period predictions) — disable anytime in Settings.
- To generate anonymized aggregate benchmarks for Premium subscribers. Your personal data is never identifiable in these; buckets require a minimum of 100 contributors.
- To diagnose bugs when you contact support.
- To process subscription payments. We never see your card details — Stripe handles all of that.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for advertising or marketing.
Third-party services
Your rights
- Export — download all your entries and cycle data as CSV from Settings → Export Data.
- Delete — permanently erase your account and all data from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Processed within 30 days.
- Correct — edit any log entry directly in the app.
- Access or restrict — email privacy@nottonight.app for a full data summary or to restrict specific processing.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Database access is restricted to authenticated service accounts. If you discover a security issue, please report it to security@nottonight.app.
Children
not tonight. is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify you by email and update the date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
